An experienced driver can share stories of driving in sleet, traffic jams and avoiding reckless drivers. One weather condition no matter how experienced that can be hazardous is fog. In fog, we are unable to predict what may be in our path as we seek our destination. Fog can cover the sky to a few inches off the ground. Cars are equipped with safety features to increase visibility but what good is the proper equipment if they are not used?
In the paragraph above I used fog to symbolize how our vision can be obstructed. Life is a journey with stops along the way. We need to refuel, schedule routine car maintenance and sometimes it can be good for a vehicle to rest. To recognize when maintenance is required you must pay attention, turn down your radio and get off the phone. How long do you wait before you address maintenance?
Where are you going with this Dr. K? A warning for all of us, maintain your vehicle before you go on the road. Driving conditions can worsen if your vehicle will not uphold various driving conditions. Slow down, rest, take care of your routine needs. Doing so can give you safer travels and clearer vision with less breakdowns on your journey.
